Season 12 of The Curse of Oak Island is scheduled to premiere on the History Channel Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 9/8c.
During episode one of the new season, after last year’s devastating flood in the garden shaft, Rick, Marty and the fellowship return to Oak Island with renewed confidence and immediately discover a never before known shaft, which may finally lead them directly to the Money Pit.
The Money Pit is a deep, 90-foot shaft on Oak Island that is the subject of a famous legend which claims there was treasure buried in it by pirates or the Knights Templar.
However, the shaft’s exact location has been obscured after a haphazard expedition in the 1960s caused clay, seawater, mud and other detritus to collapse multiple holes dug around the original Money Pit. These days, the Lagina brothers excavate in spots they hope are at least near the original pit, along with other locations around the island, according to the History Channel.
Those without basic cable can live stream the season 12 premiere of The Curse of Oak Island on Tuesday with either Philo or Fubo, both of which offer free trials for new subscribes.
Philo is considered one of the cheaper live streaming services available as it allows users to stream over 70 live TV channels for just $28 a month after its free trial.
The streaming service also offers unlimited DVR along with various movies and TV shows users can watch on-demand.
What is Fubo?
Fubo is also an alternative to basic cable, but with better channel options that Philo does not offer such as ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS and much more.
Fubo also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.
The official series description of The Curse of Oak Island is as follows:
Oak Island is a tree-covered island on the south shore of Nova Scotia that has intrigued treasure hunters for more than 200 years. It is believed that the island is hiding one of the greatest treasures of all time, but no one has been able to find it.
