Parker spent his childhood helping his grandfather with mining work. His mom stayed home to raise the family while his dad Roger worked for the family’s mining business.

The company called Big Nugget Mining belongs to Parker’s grandfather. Parker started helping at the mine when he was just 5 years old.

During his high school years, he played on the basketball team, which made him very popular among his classmates. He also appeared several times on a show called Gold Rush: Dirt Off, which made him more popular.

Parker attended a Cole Secondary Dean, a local high school. He decided to focus on learning about rocks and mining because these subjects were important for the family business and he found them interesting. Basketball was another activity he enjoyed at school.

After completing his studies in geology and mining, Parker gained knowledge that helped him in his future work. When his grandfather stopped working, Parker did an excellent job taking over. Under his leadership, the mining business grew and became more successful.

Uh well, my grandpa like ran a gold mine for the last 20 or 30 years, so I just grew up um on the mine site with him.

And >> Parker Schnobble’s work path has been quite different from most people’s. He loved mining so much as a child that he never wanted to do anything else. He spent his growing up years looking after Big Nugget Mine and wanted to keep doing this as a grown-up.

He handled the day-to-day operations and successfully managed workers who were much older than him. Parker became well-known through his role on the Discovery Channel’s reality show Gold Rush.

During the show’s fourth season, people watched as he used all his college savings money to grow the mining operations.

To mine gold in Alaska, you’ve got to um you’ve got to be pretty hearty. >>

This bold move paid off when he found 1,029 ounces of gold. In another season, he pulled out gold worth $3.7 million. He has a natural gift for finding this valuable metal. Many people who work in mining would love to have his talent for discovering gold in such large amounts.

We can’t let Tony win on this one. >> No. No matter what, we can’t let him call the shots. I agree. >>

Schnobble was still a teenager with big dreams when he started running the Big Nugget Gold Mine. This young businessman wanted to succeed on his own in the mining world he’d known since childhood.

He proved his commitment by taking his college fund and using it to start his own mining company.

Right out of school and have that happen. It’s just I wasn’t expecting that. >>

At age 18, he traveled to Canada to mine in the Klondike area where he still works today. On the television show, viewers saw him and his crew regularly outperform other mining groups, finding more gold than any competing team.

By age 24, Schnobble had already dug up gold valued at $13 million. Currently, his total wealth is estimated at around $8 million. His down-to-earth way of living likely helps him keep building his wealth.

Moneyweek notes that while Schnobble does spend money, he doesn’t buy the typical expensive things rich people often purchase.

Parker Schnobble’s young age and fame on Gold Rush made him stand out from the other people on the show. This difference was so notable that in 2017, the Discovery Network gave him his own program.

The creation of Gold Rush Parker’s Trail proved how popular he had become as a miner. Gold Rush shows Schnobble and a small group traveling to various locations around the globe as a tribute to his grandfather. He has visited the Klondike Trails, parts of South America, and in Australia.

However, the same boldness that built Schnobble’s empire may have also been his downfall. What started as an ambitious expansion quickly spiraled into a crisis that threatened everything he’d worked for.

Recently, people close to miner and TV star Parker Schnobble say the 29-year-old has lost his mining business after facing serious money problems, selling off equipment, and dealing with legal issues that happened during the last season.

People who know about the situation say problems started when Schnobble put large amounts of money into several new mining sites all at once, spending millions on land leases, official permissions, and big machinery.

I’ve embraced the debt. >> You can always go bankrupt. >> I know, Mitch. I mean, that’s a lot of money, but with our production, I think that it’s going to pay for itself.

He expected these new locations to bring in record amounts of gold. But early testing showed the ground contained much less gold than experts predicted.

While results stayed poor, costs kept going up, making things worse. Several important machines broke down multiple times, causing long work stoppages and costly fixes.

With fuel staying expensive and suppliers wanting faster payments, running costs reportedly went up by twice as much within a few weeks. Workers doing split shifts had trouble keeping production going while project deadlines fell further behind schedule.

After his business fell apart, a flood of unproven stories started spreading on social media sites, internet discussion boards, and gossip websites.

These stories claim Schnobble is now in prison serving a long sentence for breaking rules, damaging the environment, and committing financial crimes related to his mining work.

The rumors say the supposed punishment includes harsh terms with some posts stating he cannot get early release.

No trustworthy news sources have confirmed any of these claims and no real court papers have appeared to back up the accusations.

Still, social media tags about Schnobble’s supposed jail time have become popular on and off across different platforms with users posting fake photos, guesswork, and conflicting timelines. This has left fans confused as they try to find out what’s really happening.

It’d be really nice for that to just be, you know, something between her and I that’s not on national TV. >>

Parker Schnobble has never shied away from admitting that his unconventional lifestyle makes dating challenging. In late 2024, he revealed that even explaining his job can be a romantic obstacle.

According to the miner, describing days spent deep in the woods working inside bunker-like camps and washing rocks for gold often sounds like Mad Max, scaring potential partners away. When asked what he does for a living, he joked that even he struggles to explain it at times.

As a result, dating has become incredibly difficult. Despite that, Schnobble has been linked to several women over the years: one confirmed relationship and others fueled by speculation.

One of his earliest alleged crushes involved Canadian gold miner and reality TV personality Monica Beats. She gained recognition on Gold Rush, The Dirt, and the special Gold Rush, It’s Good to Be.

Parker reportedly developed feelings for her after visiting her father, legendary miner Tony Beats, during season 2 of Gold Rush in 2011. However, neither Parker nor Monica has ever confirmed the rumors, and both remained silent on the topic publicly.

His most public romance was with Australian veterinary nurse and TV personality Ashley Ule. The pair met in Australia in 2016 and quickly began dating. Parker later invited her to join him in Alaska, where she assisted with mining operations.

Ashley appeared alongside him throughout seasons seven and eight of Gold Rush, becoming a fan favorite. Unfortunately, their relationship ended in 2018. During a since deleted 2019 interview, Parker admitted the breakup was his fault, explaining that he failed to prioritize their relationship during an intense mining period.

In 2020, fans began speculating that Schnobble was romantically involved with Australian gold prospector and social media personality Tyler Mahoney.

The rumors surfaced during the filming of season 4 of Gold Rush Parker’s Trail set in Australia, where the two worked closely together. Speculation intensified after Mahoney shared a friendly photo with Schnobble on Instagram from Halls Creek, Western Australia.

Although the image sparked excitement among fans, neither Tyler nor Parker ever confirmed a romantic relationship. Publicly, Parker Schnobble remains single.

Between grueling seasons, remote mining camps, and a job that rarely pauses, maintaining a relationship has proven difficult. For now, his focus appears fixed on the gold mining world, leaving fans to continue wondering whether romance will ever strike in the heart of the wilderness.

Busier than we’ve ever been and and bigger projects than we’ve ever taken on right now. >>
