The Green Bay Packers are making moves this offseason after injuries derailed their 2025 season, leading to a loss in the Wild Card Round. Now, Green Bay is making sure one of Jordan Love’s top weapons isn’t going anywhere.
Wide receiver Jayden Reed and the team agreed to a three-year, $50.25 million contract extension on Friday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal includes $20 million guaranteed and keeps Reed in town alongside Christian Watson and Tucker Kraft as Love’s top targets heading into next season.
Reed missed 10 games last season with a broken collarbone that he suffered early in the season, but he was still productive in the games that he was on the field. In those seven games, the Michigan State product caught 19 balls for 207 yards and a touchdown, despite making only three starts while working his way back from the injury.

Now, Romeo Doubs is gone in free agency and Dontayvion Wicks is out the door in a trade to the Philadelphia Eagles, meaning the Packers will need more from Reed heading into next season as one of the unquestioned top wideouts on the roster alongside Watson.

The Packers have been looking for one of their wide receivers to break out and become a true No. 1 target for the last couple of years now, but Reed was dealing with his collarbone injury and both Watson and Kraft have had major knee injuries during their short time in the league. Green Bay is hoping Reed can do just that on this deal, which would make it a bargain for the team.

Reed’s deal runs through 2029 now, so he will have the next four seasons in Green Bay to try to take that leap and become a star receiver in the league. At the very least, the Packers have a solid, reliable starter at receiver under contract for the foreseeable future, and one that Matt LaFleur is already comfortable using as a versatile chess piece in the offense.
