The tragedy struck on February 25th, 2026. While crews were actively working and even filming for a future episode of the longrunning reality series Deadliest Catch, [music] details remain limited, but one thing is painfully clear. This was sudden and devastating. [music] The news was first shared by Deadliest Catch Captain Rick Shelford. [music] In a heartfelt tribute, he described that day as the most tragic in the history of the Illusian Lady. He called Todd a brother and someone who quickly became family.
