Tony Beets Promises His Daughter A Claim, Then Takes It Away! | Gold Rush

Everybody else has a claim and Tony said this one was going to be mine.
Like to get going on it until I get TB Beats to talk to me.
I can’t really put a plan in place.

He told me this cut was going to be mine.
Mike’s got his setup on the hill.
Kevin’s got his own setup on Scriber.
He even gave cousin Mike more responsibility watching the plants out in the Indian River.
Would it be nice?
Yeah.
No, absolutely.
I could oversee this business and I get it.
Be in charge.

Four years ago.
Wa.
What the clearly found?
Tony discovered a pocket of ground missed by the old-timers.
That has to be golden.
He drilled it.
That looks like virgin ground to me.
And found good gold.
We found you some money.
Good, good, good, good, good, good.

Tony opened up a 1.5-acre cut.
There’s a nice little piggy bank sitting down.
There is nothing wrong with that.
But to date, he’s never mined it.

So we should mine it.
If you did this, be cool.
Monica, you might as well have a chunk of your own, too.
Hey, as long as we can make a plan, you know, start working on these things.
We need to get that Moose Creek trummel to the welder.
Get everything fixed up.
Get me a pump.
Yeah, in theory you should be able to do it.
It’ll just be a little bit tight.

You got to put a nugget trap on there.
You’re going to need that welded on.
I got my guy up there.
So, I… I… we’ll pull it into place.
Get it there.
Get him working on it.
That’s… that’s a solid plan.
Yeah.
There you go.
Do it.
Okay.

Up to now, Monica does all the cleaning of the gold.
It would be nice for her to get a cut going.
Mike knows that it’s Monica’s cut, so he’ll step back on that department.
So yeah, I’m pretty confident that those two will nicely figure that out.

Monica plans to use Tony’s 33-year-old Moose Creek trummel to sluice the Hester cut.
I appreciate everything you’re doing to help me.
Anything for family, Monica.

So should we go take a look at?
Yeah, it’s going to be your headache soon.

To get it running, Mike will drag the 35-ton wash plant that sat idle for 2 years over to the yard for repairs.
Oh joy.
Well, it’s a little uh sunk in there.
What’s your plan?
You want to drag it out so they can bump it up?
I’m going to pull it out.
Ready?

This tire is a little low, but it should be fine.
Looks pretty good, Michael.
It’s really nice to see the Moose Creek trummel start moving.
But now hopefully this gets fixed up.
We drain that cut and then we can start getting some gold.

Looks like Mario Kart.
I like gold mining.
I like being a part of all these things.
So I’m really excited to see what kind of gold we get out of here.

Monica’s trummel reaches the yard where Mike’s welders will get to work repairing it.

[Music]
Mike, take copy.
Mike, we got a problem at the strong lady.
You should come down here.
Hurry up.
Yeah, I’ll be there in a sec.

Monica had the man with the plan and the employees just took off to fix his own things.
Everyone on the Beats welding crew is needed to get the trummel back on the gold, leaving Monica’s project on the back burner.
It will never be top priority.
Tony Beats will only ever think what he is doing is important.
He is hyper-focused on what he is doing and not focusing on anybody else.
Eventually, I’d like to make it off the bottom of the list.
It would be nice to see what comes out of that cut.
And we cannot do that until the pump is down there drying out that cut and the trummel’s down there.

To drain the cut, Tony and Mike plan to pull a pump from a mined-out corner of the super pit.
You see that?
You got three, four, five different colors in it.
God damn.
Hey, Mr. Beats Gold.
Hey, it’s my piece.
If you stand still long enough, I guess I should have brought my glasses.
See that?
Right.
That you can pick it out of the bank.
Beautiful.

But as you can see, there is different layers in here.
It’s all up.
And on top of this, there is a layer of false bedrock about 5 to 10 feet thick.
So last year when I cleaned the back of the cut up, I didn’t have no indication of this whole pocket being here.
Well, I’ll take it.

So I think instead of going to Monica’s cut, I think we should just move everything around, finish pumping the hole out, finish taking that payout because if we don’t do it now, it’ll be next year again.
So let’s not around.
Let’s delay Monica and we’ll just concentrate on this.
Yes.
You know, you don’t find these spots like that ever.

[Music]
What’s up, young lady?
What’s up with me?
What’s up with you?
I thought I was getting a pump today.
Well, that’s what we were thinking, dude.
But I guess it’s not going to happen, right, Mike?
Boys first.
That’s it.
That’s always been this place.
Careful, Dad.
She will kick.

Have a look over the bank.
Look here.
Say, “Remember how good it has been?”
Look how much pay is down there this morning.
We didn’t know that.
And so we decided to delay you cuz we got to get it out of there cuz then it is done.
We’re going to have to pump her dry, get the pay out, and then we’ll see what we do from there.
So then it is your turn.
Just not quite today.

So, how do you know that my cut down there isn’t just as nice as this cut up here?
Well, you know what?
If your cut is just as good as this one, we got lucky twice.

Feeling a little shafted.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
You’re so hard done by.
Sucks to be enough.
Let’s put the pump in.
Let’s go.
Okay.
Throw that hose out.

Once again, Monica’s plan for the Hester cut is put on hold.
Sure as shouldn’t talk to me that way.
And it sucks kind of being pushed back to the bottom of the list.
I get it.
Happens.
You can’t leave the gold in the cut.
But uh still kind of sucks.
