Parker Schnabel Has To Make Some BIG Sacrifices! | Gold Rush

Everybody’s excited about having three plants going.
We need to get as much gold as we can.

But I don’t think they’ve taken into consideration
that I’m a one-man operation.

In a three-pronged attack for more gold,
Parker Schnobble is running three plants
in three different locations.

And the pressure is falling squarely on one guy.

Everything has to be cleaned in the golden ring.
I can’t do that.
I just— I just can’t.

Why have a third plant
if you can’t keep it clean?

Gold-cleaning guru Chris Dumit
is on his way to Roxan
for yet another sluice box cleanup.

Right now, I don’t think all the coffee and cigars in the world
is going to help.

And if I create a bottleneck,
it’s going to jam up everything.
It’s going to cause horrific problems.

Gonna get these tanks lit up real quick.
We did Big Red yesterday.
We’re doing Roxan today.
Bob’s tomorrow.

It’s just— it’s too much.
This is awful physical work.
I’m not getting any younger.
My back’s not getting any better.

Gonna get this thing loaded up and blast off.

All right.
I told Parker I would stay on the job
until either it’s not fun anymore
or I can’t do it anymore.

We’re getting very close
to the I can’t do it anymore.

I hate to ask Parker for help
with all the stress he’s under,
but I don’t see an alternative.

This is not going to be fun.

Hey, Chris.
Hey, youngster.
How you doing?
Busy.
Yeah, it looks like it.

This is Big Red.
Roxan’s on the truck ready to process.
I’ve got to do Bob tomorrow.
I can’t keep up.

Um, you know, I— I don’t know what to tell you
besides I need help.
Yeah.
But you know what?
With two plants, I could do it.
But we’re scattered.

Bob’s this way, and Red’s that way.
And I hate to be whining and complaining,
but this is reality.
I can’t do three.

Well, the problem that I have is—
like, I’m willing to lose people from the field…
and get somebody you trust in here.

So… who comes to mind?

Damian would be awesome.
Yeah, that’s not happening.
Yeah. Uh, Tommo.
Tommo would be great.
Tommo would be really good,
but he’s busy.

Tatiana— maybe.
She’s like one of our top operators.

Yeah.
Mitch and Tyson are not going to be happy
if Tatiana comes out of the field.

Well, it’s not fun anymore.
[Music]

If I— if I leave…
You’re not allowed to retire.
We’ll— we’ll just—
we’ll take Tatiana.

Tatiana?
Yeah.
Perfect. Thank you so much.
Appreciate it, buddy.
Thank you so much.

Yeah.
Now I— now I can breathe a little bit.
And we’ll just start training her up.
It’s going to help tremendously.

All right. Thanks, Chris.
Thank you.

I think Tatiana is a good call.
She gets it.
I need somebody who just—
they’re doing it the way it’s supposed to be done.
I don’t have to worry about it anymore.

Those hundreds of little things—
that’s what makes and breaks the gold room.

Yeah. Keeps me on my toes.

Let’s see what we got.

It’s time to find out
if Parker’s gamble to run three plants
can turn his fortunes around
and edge him closer
to his 10,000-ounce goal.

How was your week?
It was good, man.
I didn’t think it would be this much work
keeping three wash plants going.

Yeah, Taylor’s been a busy man this week.

He has.
Yeah.

We’re putting a lot of miles on the trucks this year.
Even my truck— with these three plants,
they’re so out.

Fortunately, I’ve got Tatiana now.
Because without her,
there’s no way I could keep up.

It’s been awesome.

So, thank you so much.
Now we’re down a good operator.
Good.
That’ll give us an even better chance of catching up.

Well, with the three plants,
are we pulling in good gold?
Well, we can throw some gold on here
and see what we got.

Here’s your machine— Big Red—
with the bridge cut.

With all the plants running,
Parker’s hoping to blow past
his highest weekly gold haul this season—
303 ounces.

Here we go…
10… 20… 40… 70… 74…
74.9 ounces.

We do all this work—
what a pain in the ass.

Well, all I can say is— thank for the gold price.

Yeah.
You get the big thermos, buddy.

All right, let’s see how Roxan did this week.
Roxan was sluicing Dominion’s long cut.

50… 90… 110… 170… 180…
We gonna make 200?

207.4!
There we go.

Yeah.
Not bad.
Yeah.

Then you put that with what Big Red did there—
like almost 300.

We’re almost at one wash plant’s worth.
Shut up.

And then we got good old Bob.

Parker’s expecting Bob at Kenan Stewarts
to deliver 300 ounces a week.

80… 130… 170… 230… 260…
Well, there it goes— 303.7.

We almost had a 600-ounce week.
We’re pretty close for the week.
We got 586 ounces—
worth almost $1.5 million.

Parker’s best cleanup all season.

So that gives us a season total of 1,693.2—
almost 1,700 ounces.

Roxan’s doing great.
Bob’s doing outstanding.
If Red gets in that groove…
we’ll have a chance of getting caught up
to where we should be.
