Rick Ness’ Crew Is In DANGER Due To A Collapsing Wall! | Gold Rush
So, like when I’m digging into it,
you know, I’m not going to dig the harder material there.
Just take away the fluffier stuff from it.
I don’t want to undermine the bank here and then have a cave in.
So, it’s just, you know, take what uh what’s slid in and that’s it.
Now, we’re hauling out of this corner where there’s been a lot of slides right now.
So, it’s important we get it out cuz we need to get the gold that’s underneath it.
But, it’s also one hell of a sketchy area.
00:23
Oh, Rick. Rick, you got a copy, man?
Yeah, go for Rick.
Yeah, man. That wall out in.
What are you talking about?
The wall starting to slough in.
It’s just water pouring in.
All right, stay safe. Get the out of there. I’ll be right over.
This is not good. Holy man, that is a lot of water.
At his Duncan Creek claim, Rick Ness is battling a flood in his gold rich Rally Valley.
Hey guys, you got a copy? Let’s shut down Monster Red right away.
Yep. On it. Uh Rick wants me to shut the plant down.
So we get her shut down and figure out what the problem is.
01:34
So yeah, we got a major problem.
All of our slle watering is backing up and seeping right back into Rally Valley.
Totally. And it’s flooding fast.
And if it just keeps filling up like that,
we’re going to lose the rest of the pay down in Rally Valley.
I’ve got to get that water directed to a safe spot.
Yeah. And we’ve got to get our pump down there because it’s filling up fast
and we’ve got to get that drained out.
All right. Cool. Thanks, guys.
Wash plant Monster Red sits above the east side of Rally Valley,
300 ft away from the edge of the pit’s wall.
Slle water from the plant has traveled down the valley,
seeped into the wall, collapsing it and flooding the cut.
Rick’s plan — move his only working pump,
currently feeding SLLE water to Monster Red,
1,000 ft to Rally Valley.
Drain the cut of all the water down to the remaining 10 ft of pay.
Then haul out and stockpile all the remaining pay down to bedrock
before he’s able to start slooing again.
02:43
Let’s go.
Yeah. I mean, we’re trying to cut a step.
We didn’t want to take the suction line off.
So, yeah, there’s some weight and stress on that bar.
Sure, it’ll be a little nerve-wracking on the way down
as it is the only pump we actually have right now.
Watch your heads. Look at that. Pump her up, buddy.
The 8 in pump drains 3,000 gallons of water a minute.
Within 24 hours, Rick should be back on his best ever gold.
03:43
Well, we got the pump going, which is good.
We got to get the rest of the pay out of Rally Valley,
but I’m feeling the stress right now.
I mean, we need that pay.
We got to get it out before it’s unsafe.
And we just got to get a move on.
We got to go.
Yeah, guys, just do what you got to do to get out of there as quick as possible.
Get the rest of that pay.
Stay away from that wall
and just get the hell out of there as quick as you can.
At Rally Valley, Rick’s crew are in a rush
to dig down to bedrock and stockpile all of its gold-rich pay
before the cut floods again.
04:12
Finally got the water down again.
Starting to haul the pay out of Rally Valley.
We’re trying to get as fast as we can, get all this pay out.
It’s probably one of the hardest cuts that I’ve ever done.
You know, this thing just keeps throwing curve balls.
It’s definitely getting a little bit unsafe every day.
More and more we’re down here.
We’ve got a small crew,
but the small crew that we have, they bust their ass.
But, uh, yeah, today it’s everybody’s hands on board.
[Music] [Music]
There it is. Finally done. Rally Valley.
Hey Rick, you got a copy, man?
Yeah. Go for Rick.
That’s the final load, man. We’re right down to bedrock.
So, uh, we’re all done. Rally Valley.
Nice job, bud.
After battling rock slides and floods,
Rick Ness is closing the book on his greatest cut ever.
[Music]
05:25
It’s a hell of an accomplishment.
We started that whole four years ago.
It’s nice to finish something like that,
but at the same time, I mean, we just had a huge gold way out of it.
It’s — I hate to see that dirt go.
But, uh, the good news is we still got some on the pad.
We still got something to run.
There’s still a lot of gold to get out of it,
but Rally Valley, that chapter’s closed.
On to the next.
[Music]
Boys, fellas.
Hey guys, it’s summertime.
Yeah, I know. I don’t know why I got a sweater on.
Rick is on the richest pay of his life.
His crew gather in anticipation
of what Monster Red slooes have caught this week.
Jason scared of me when he drove by and blew a tire.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t scare the myself.
It was like a cannon going off.
What’s up, dudes? What’s up? What’s up?
And lady, I’ll answer to any gender.
Rally Valley this whole time is all the water going in there, right?
Luckily, we got out of there unscathed.
I think we’re all happy to finally be at the bottom of it,
but we’re all sad that now you need to find a next spot.
06:22
Unfortunately, we have to move on,
but we know that there’s more ground like that.
We’re coming off a record gold last week,
but we only had, you know, a couple good solid days of running this week.
But I see a pile of gold there.
Should we weigh this up?
So far, Rick’s mined 316 of his 1,500 ounce gold
after just 5 days of slooing.
[Music]
This week, Monster Red only ran for 2 days
before he had to move the pump.
I’ll tell you right now, that’s 100 — 100 ounces gold.
Beautiful stuff. Gorgeous. Right here.
Yet to be seen. Who’s going to count this for me?
Jason. All right.
07:00
Out of Monster Red. We got 100 ounces in a jar.
And we’ve got this to add to it.
5 10 18 28 36 50 69 81.87
All right. 181.87 O right.
Worth 454,000.
We’re damn near 500 ounces in two cleanups on the season already.
Uh, that’s a third of the way to our 1500 ounce goal.
Pretty impressive.
Got 500 ounces on the table already.
We got a full week next week of running at Rally Valley Dirt.
I can’t wait to see the total.
